Hello Sagittarius Season!

21/11/2024 | Denise Houser

Say hello to Sagittarius season, a total shift away from the deep gothic glamor of Scorpio. While we must venture into the darkness, it’s always necessary to come back out towards the light; and Sagittarius’ optimistic, exploratory nature can help get us there. This fire sign encourages us to worry less, stop trying to control things, and start having some fun—it’s no coincidence that the holiday season coincides with this zodiac sign! While the sun is in Sagittarius, we’re encouraged to think and live generously and expansively; to explore, engage, and adventure.

Rather than diving within ourselves to uncover deeper meaning, this season is all about what else is out there. It’s a time to ask questions, to meet new people, to try different things, to make mistakes. Sagittarians have an amazing blend of curiosity, adaptability, passion and intensity. They are represented by the centaurian archer—half man, half horse—shooting their arrow into the sky. The duality of the centaur symbolizes Sagittarius: half human, half wild, untamed animal. This sign is known for adventuring off the map, for making pilgrimages that many would never dare to. Their quest for knowledge knows no bounds, and is a driving force. This is a sign that is driven by their desire for understanding—not just of ideas, but of experiences.

Because of this desire for knowledge, experience and adventure, these signs are incredible entertainers and storytellers. Their combined passion, curiosity, and zest for life makes them incredibly charming, perceptive, and dynamic. Like their fellow fire sign Aries, Sagittarians have a signature bluntness—they have very little filter. Many Sagittarians also have a reputation for pretentiousness or arrogance. It’s important for them to remember that in their eternal quest for knowledge they know a lot, but they don’t know everything. However, this is a sign that’s hard to stay mad at. Sagittarius is uniquely optimistic and doesn’t take anything too seriously (a vast departure from our water sign friends). They’re ready and willing to engage in debate—whether with strangers or loved ones—and to joyfully have their minds changed.

As a mutable sign, Sagittarians have a perpetual desire to shake things up. These archers have a deep wanderlust—they need the freedom to roam physically, intellectually and spiritually. As result, this season can inspire a kind of restlessness that can be difficult for some if it’s not your natural state of being. However, now is a great time to get outside of our sometimes stifling routines or obligations. If you’ve been wanting to change things in your life, now is the time. Within restlessness is a certain kind of freedom, and Sagittarius helps us channel how simple and sometimes necessary escape can be. This season our desires and interests can move us, as opposed to our obligations.

Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of abundance. It’s all about excess and expansion. This is a great time to go all in, and to bounce around between your different passions. Jupiter also brings about luck and generosity, perfect for the holiday season, and the spirit of giving. This is the time of year for expanding our ideas and enacting them into being with courageous directness. Sagittarius encourages us to feel our desires, our purpose, and to let this shape our course. Reach out to your friend crush, read the classics that may have intimidated you before, plan a solo trip to somewhere you’ve always dreamed of. This season we can live a life of abundance, and shower that on those around us. It’s the perfect time for opening up through exchange of ideas, and venturing gladly into the unknown. Now is not the time to stick to your five-year plan—let freedom move you, make mistakes, and trust in the extraordinary possibilities of the world. Shop our Sagittarius Season Collection to get curious, expansive and open-hearted, just like this dynamic fire sign.
