Lalela scarf, Love Berry, was created during a workshop developing high school student technical and conceptual skills. The artwork looked at breaking down stereotypes to create a true visual representation of their own authentic expression of being South African.

This artwork was created as a collaborative puzzle piece done in marker by 20 students.  The panel that I have chosen was drawn by Erin, age 13 from Sentinel Primary in Hangberg, Cape Town.

Erin was raised by her grandmother and dreams of being an Art Teacher one day.

By linking the arts to academics and life-skills, Lalela provides students with the tools necessary to re-imagine the future and achieve their dreams.

With your purchase of this scarf, you help make these dreams come true...

Thank you.
