This artwork was painted by Liyabona, age 12 from the township of Nyanga in the Western Cape, South Africa.  He fell in love with art when he began with Lalela in 2014.  He is a shy boy who drew himself with passion in this power portrait and was very proud of the outcome of this piece.  His dream is to become a fashion designer.

By linking the arts to academics and life-skills, Lalela provides students with the tools necessary to re-imagine the future and achieve their dreams.

With your purchase of this scarf you help make these dreams come true.

Thank you.
