Lalela scarf, POTS, was created during a workshop developing high school student technical and conceptual skills. The artwork looked at breaking down stereotypes to create a true visual representation of their own authentic expression of being South African. 80% Wool, 15% Silk, 15% Cashmere 39 in. X 79 in.

This beautiful artwork was painted by Shekinah, who attends the Lalela program in Maboneng, Johannesburg.  Shekinah has a serious issue with gender equality.  He has been raised by a single mother, which has made him realize how strong and deserving women are.  We are lucky to have Shekinah as one of our learners.  He is a dedicated student and friend, a great leader, a talented artist and a mentor to those younger and older than himself.
